Aesthetic clinic marketing mistakes

At Creative Ideaz, we’ve helped a number of aesthetics clinics turn their online profiles around. We’ve boosted conversion rates, gained followers, and helped increase engagement, which has all meant one thing: more business. So, what are the common mistakes that so many aesthetics clinics make? I’ll tell you...

Your website isn’t mobile friendly

Would it surprise you if I told you that 99% of the UK population owns a mobile? No, thought not. Would it surprise you if I said that 52.79% of total website visits come from a mobile? No, also thought not. So, if it doesn’t surprise you – why isn’t your website mobile friendly?

For aesthetics clinics, a mobile-friendly website is an absolute must. Without one, you’ll be missing out on loads of potential clients who’ll simply get quickly frustrated with a badly-functioning website that’s hard to navigate on their mobile. No excuses.

CTA?

CTA stands for Call To Action. It’s the bit that makes the customer respond immediately. It’s their prompt to get in touch, find out more, enquire, book a treatment. If you lack compelling CTAs, or they’re absent altogether, then you’re missing a trick.

Give your clients a reason to get in touch ASAP, make it compelling, relevant, something they simply can’t miss.

Zero Empathy

Aesthetics clinics exist to make clients feel and look better. They’re here to help improve someone’s quality of life. If there’s zero empathy and understanding as to why a client may be feeling a certain way because of a specific issue they’re enduring, then why would the client want to book a treatment at that clinic?

Clients want and need empathy, they want to feel like they’re not the only ones with this problem. Aesthetics clinics need to show potential customers they care, they understand, and they know how a client is feeling. Empathy builds trust.

No Before and Afters

Clients want to see proof that treatments work – after all, some of them cost a substantial whack of money. Let potential customers see your before and after photos – it will help to convince them to pick up the phone and get that treatment for themselves.

Check out this guide to see how best to take before and after pics.

Get Personal

We’re all looking for a connection. We want to find people we can trust – whether that’s in friendships or in business. So, don’t be afraid to show your clients who you are. Let them see the people who make up your team, and who’ll be doing their treatment.

This helps to break down barriers and will allow your clients to build their trust levels. Repeat bookings are more likely if you can build a relationship with your clients.

Not enough Touchpoints

If you want potential customers to engage and interact with your brand, you need to give them the opportunity. Build your touchpoints – on your website, via an app, on social media, or by email.

Capture the Change

If you’ve booked a client in for a course of treatments, make sure you document the change. Take a photo of them before their first treatment, then again at each session, and finally after their last treatment. This will allow your client to see the real change.

With photographic evidence, the change is there for all to see, and it’s a great way to prove the difference your treatments have made.

Be Realistic

Aesthetics clinics need to be honest with clients. It’s kind of like the hairdresser predicament. For instance, a client comes in and shows a picture of Beyonce and says, ‘I want hair like that please’. Of course, the hairdresser can aim to give the client hair like Beyonce, but they won’t ever have her face.

It’s all about managing a client’s expectations. Aesthetics clinics need to be realistic with clients about what can and can’t be achieved.

Conclusion

I hope this list of common mistakes that many aesthetics clinics make, will help show you what you need to do in order to improve your business’s conversion rates and customer engagement.
