Work remotely and stay focused

Working remotely as a team

It can be easy to feel disengaged when you are made to work remotely, especially for many who are used to bustling working environments. We will share with you some tips and tricks that have helped us.

Working remotely doesn’t have to mean working alone, and with all the new technology and apps about you should never feel disconnected from your team. Here are some of the things we use to stay connected

Work is more than just a list of tasks

During this time people can begin to feel isolated, especially if they live alone, so make sure that they have a space to talk and catch up. A place where they can express their feelings. When you use slack why not start the day off with the group chat, say good morning and check in with the team. We like to send gifs to start everyone's day with a smile. Have dedicated chats based on project and deadlines, but also have a group chat where the team can talk and check in.

Some of the features you can enjoy with slack are:

  • Setting reminders
  • Using shared channels across workspaces
  • Pinning messages
  • Secure working environment
  • Integrate features and other apps

Meetings made easy

Prior to working remotely, you may have had weekly meetings, but that doesn’t have to stop. Try to keep your standard routine and catch up with the team. Zoom is great for this; the entire team can have a meeting from their own spaces whether this be a quick informal catch up, or an end of week target meeting Zoom is great to use.

Features that you can expect with Zoom

  • Share your screen
  • Record your meetings
  • Host up 100 members
  • Mute and unmute your audio
  • Quick invite

Stay focused and stay on target

Working as a team remotely can be hard and sometimes confusing; this is why we love It allows visibility for the entire team, you can seem where a project is, why a project is stuck and if you can help get it moving. Monday also helps break down tasks and goals for the week allowing you to see your workload and the teams. So that that team can work together on helping to achieve the end goal. features to keep you motivated all week

  • Checklists to breakdown tasks
  • Sync timeline with your calendar
  • Due date tracking
  • Time tracking by project
  • Email updates

Remember to stay safe and check in with the team. You’re probably not the only one feeling disconnected and alone.
