Job Brief

As an Email Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing email marketing campaigns to drive engagement, retention, and conversion. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling email content, manage subscriber lists, analySe campaign performance, and implement strategies to optimise email marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, excellent communication skills, and a data-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive email marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate email campaigns with other marketing channels for a cohesive customer experience.

Content Creation:

  • Create engaging and relevant email content, including copywriting and design, to capture the attention of the target audience.
  • Ensure emails are mobile-responsive, visually appealing, and in line with brand guidelines.

List Management:

  • Manage and segment email subscriber lists to deliver personalised and targeted content.
  • Regularly clean and update email lists to maintain deliverability and compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM).

Automation and Sequences:

  • Implement marketing automation workflows and drip campaigns to nurture leads and guide subscribers through the customer journey.
  • Optimise automation processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

A/B Testing and Optimisation:

  • Conduct A/B testing on various elements of email campaigns (subject lines, content, calls-to-action) to improve performance.
  • Analyse data and key metrics to optimise campaigns for better engagement and conversion rates.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of email marketing campaigns.
  • Provide regular reports on campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.

Compliance:

  • Stay informed about email marketing regulations and ensure compliance with data protection laws and industry standards.

Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in email marketing with a focus on strategy, execution, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar tools).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Understanding of HTML for email template customisation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of best practices in deliverability, segmentation, and personalisation.
